Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family that included musicians. As a child, she was inspired by the classical music of her parents, boleros as well as the more traditional romantic, ranchero, and romance ballads. Ana is passionate about tangos and opera, as well as any dramatic performance. She was taught by her mother to sing. However, she started more intense singing lessons by Flavio Belcerra, who was 16 at the time when Belcerra was an internationally acclaimed Mexican opera Tenor. Her musical education continued through the School of Music of Guadalajara University, and then the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. When she was a student, and a young professional, she performed with many chamber groups and opera choruses in Guadalajara as well as Mexico City. When she moved to America, United States, she performed in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2002 she moved to southern California. She currently is a part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and often performs as a soloist in traditional Latin American music at private occasions. Ana is involved in a variety of local initiatives and is a teacher as well as a performer due to her love for music and arts. Ana is also a previous participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft.
