MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. He is a major player in his part of the Latin mainstream. Una Lady Como Tu (his popular hit song from 2016) received the Colombian Kids Choice Award, the 2017 most popular Song. His debut album ADN was released in 2017 by La Industria Inc., which is a Medellin-based Sony distribution company. The album reached the top of the charts at number 8 on the Top Latin Albums charts. Vaina Loca was a Top Five hit for Ozuna as well as him the year following. He was a part of the team alongside Noriel on Mala Influencia in 2020 and in the year following, he came out with his second album, the chart-topping Dopamina. In 2021 he produced a duet for TINI's hit track Maldita Foto. The smash hit La Bachata from 2000 was released in 2023. Turizo is a musician who was born in a home with a music program. His parents and brothers were both musicians. According to Turizo, music was an integral aspect of his daily life. In his childhood he was instructed to perform on the guitar, piano as well as the ukulele. While his initial career goal was that of veterinarian but his brother Julian encouraged him to start learning to sing with an instructor in Cuban. The lessons changed his entire life.
